Another trip to the zoo

Casey and I went to the zoo again a few days ago. She had a great time looking at all the animals, especially the elephants, tiger and orangutan. At home, she enjoys reading her books about animals over and over. I bought an alphabet puzzle while we were there which we have been enjoying as well. We decided to become "Friends of the Zoo" so we anticipate many more zoo visits this year.

We actually got to see 2 Orangutan cross over the zoo on the ropes from the Ape House to the Think Tank. That was a first for me considering all the times I have been to that zoo.

Relaxing time as a family

Here is a video showing one of Casey's favorite things to do... She loves to go into our bedroom closet and close the door to play hide and seek. She could do this forever it seems. Even more fun for her is if Mommy or Daddy go in there with her to scare the other one when the door is opened and Casey is found. We all get a big smile out of this.

Cherry Blossoms in Washington DC

The Cherry Blossoms are just beautiful in DC when they are in bloom. We try to see them every year. These pictures were taken a week ago, in the morning, before it got crowded.

Here is a family picture taken at the tidal basin. You may be able to see the Washington Monument in the background across the water.
